If you look at these pics, you'll see the cam now has a large hole that the cable passes over. When the cable passes over the center of the hole your bow is perfectly timed Thumb Up

These holes are on the Mission and McPherson lines as well

The original 2 holes parallel to the string can still be done Thumb Up

Applause Simplicity at its best...for the common shooter and those who dont have a press or do their own tuning...they will -at a glance know when their bow is out of tune and to bring the bow in for a spec tune...

Thumb Up Neil

Thumb Up Thumb Up That is going to be so much easier than lining up the 2 holes in the cam like we used to have to do Big Smile

OK. Just for clarification... I just got my Reezen 6.5. I noticed that it did not line up with the middle of the big hole. I asked my dealer and he said that the Reezen's still use the little holes. Which is it??? Thanks in advance

If cable isn´t centered with the hole must I correct twisying the string or the cable?
I suppose that if there are any other aspects of the bow I must deal with (lean,ATA,BH) centering the cable to the hole must be done afterwards? Praying

Big Smile Yes twisting of string/cable is the only way to tune the cam alignment to spec using string and alignment hole...however one must keep ATA brace height and idler lean in mind while doing so...as any modifications of the string /cable will effect all aspects of spec tune..

Thumb Up
Neil

Interesting in that on picture the Reezen has a longer string suppressor than the one I have...? And it is beating that bottom suppressor all to pieces splitting it actually. And now I'm having the string start jumpping the top suppressor folding it over. I don't know what is going on. I have a Drenalin that I love and no problems with it what so ever. The Reezen is my 5th Mathews bow. I love Mathews they are the only bows that I shoot very well. I hate to be negative.

The pictures of the cams and strings shows how the Reezen should look when properly timed. I have a question. I have a new Reezen 7.0, 60-70#, 29" DL. I've backed it off to about 62#. Should the same timing be used for the poundage reduction? In other words, is it the same regardless of the weight you are pulling?

The monster should be similar to tuning a binary. It doesn't matter where the cams are when the bow is relaxed, its at full draw when you want to observe. The syncing of the cams is most important thing. Since your nocking point isn't exactly in the middle of the string between the cams your nocking point is going to affect the timing of the cams. Put it in a draw board and then make adjustments. This is also a great time to check for cam lean which can be virtually eliminated with the yoke system. With a dual/binary cam bow the draw board and press are the 2 best tools you can own.

Great to know Bob, I didn't know that about the Reezen(s)

Just for my own curiosity, why is there still two holes being Machined in the cam, if there not used or needed? Peace

It was stated in another thread that this is where the CNC machines "hold" the cams while they're actually cutting them. Peace Wink

I was thinking of that after I though of a possible reason.

Thank you BigEves34. Peace

Will all new/future models have this timing hole? (At least the near future) Its an easy way for anyone to check at a glance that there cam is in spec. Thumb Up

So yours looks like the one in the pictures at the top of this thread? If so, that's what they should look like. I don't know for sure, but I think they put something over the weights in the cam to make it look nicer... Peace

na the first time I shot the bow the sticker cam off that is how i know it is a sticker. There is no weight under it, it looks as if they just did not machine out that whole section of the cam.The sticker gives the appearance of a weight but there is not one.

Which type of press is best for the Monster? How does a draw board works and what does it look like?
