Cut your back strap into big enough pieces so that it wont fall through the grill. Marinate it in Zesty Itilan salad dressing for 2 days in a bowl in the fridge.Mix and turn each nite. Thats it, grill and eat and be amazed

This is the exact way I cook most of my elk and deer. My kids can't get enough of it. Every time they stop by the house, the first words out of their mouth are, "Dad, let's cook some elk meat!" Sure makes some mean loins, especially on the grill. Flinch

That is my go-to recipe for venison tenderloin. I grill it until it is almost done, then wrap some applewood bacon around it (the bacon is "almost done" also). Then I dip the stuff in blue cheese dressing. Or, skip the dressing and top it with provelone cheese before it comes off the grill.

Thats the way I do it too. But I season it with what ever fancies me and always wrap it in bacon

that's the way i usually do it to. However, check this out... My cousin told me to bring over some loins cause he wanted to try smoking them. He took both loins, put a rub on them and smoked them with Jack Daniels smoking chips. I have never in my life tasted anything so good!

Been doing chicken legs that way for decades. Works great on venison or lesser cuts of beef as well.
