Mathews Downforce Power Retract Arrow Rest
[MO-MW80268-9] $139.95

Unlike other conventional drop away rests, the triggering cable on the DownForce attaches to the lower half of the bowstring, not the cable. This means the cradle stays with the arrow longer to provide the ultimate amount of guidance during release. The power retract mechanism pulls away ultra-fast, up to 5 times faster than previous models, providing maximum fletching clearance, and a straighter, more accurate arrow flight.

The revolutionary arrow rest that guides arrows longer, and retracts faster.

Stabilizes Arrow Longer During Release
Spring-Loaded Cradle Retracts Ultra-Fast
Harmonic Damper Absorbs Vibration and Noise
Attachment to Bowstring Provides Maximum Fletching Clearance and Ultra-Fast Rest Response

was a lancaster archery yesterday and they didn't have any in... afte rlooking at the rests they had... and really not knowing much about how rests worked I decided I was gonan go with a cheap blade rest untill I can get one of those put on my bow. and I don know if they gave me the wrong blade... or I been shooting the wrong blade for years... but my arrows are huge and the blade smaller then the one I used to shoot my small arrows and I can not get the arrows to stay on it... gotta keep propin em up for every shot.

are drop aways any good for target shooting? this one any good for target shooting? and will the tree limb arrows they set me up with fit in it they put 5" feathers on em
?
I might check some of the local shops... or have the shop I shoot at bow and install the rest for me... I feel bad bout not buying from the place I shoot but I had to find a bow I liked before I bought it... and the first shop I found with the bows I wanted to try, just happined to have the bow in my size poundage and color in stock and I couldn;t bring my self to walk away with out it and have to wait for it to be delivered

It appears as if the regular vanes barely clear the rest, the "drop" is very small....is it just me?

Ok, the new rest looks very cool but explain to me the trade off between brace height (wanting arrow to leave contact sooner) and the rest maintaining contact as long as possible? It seems like a they are opposed to each other. Why strive for longer brace height if you are now wanting contact???

Also, I shoot a DXT at 27" draw, 70 lbs with 378 grain arrow, d-loop, kisser, small peep with tube. I can't seem to get a good chrono except erradict readings from the techno-hunter video screen saying around 276. Does that sound accurate? I don't see any way for a short draw like mine to even approach 300. Am I assuming correctly?

While at brace, is the rest in the up or down position??? Thumb Up very nice rest i guess it's even more accurate than the convertible arrow rest since it cradles the arrow longer!!

I have a QAD on one of my other bows. The only problem that i have had with it and why i didn't put one on my DXT was when I came to full draw on a "snap shot", sometimes the arrow would jump off the rest fork. Does this happen with this rest? I did notice that forks are angled more downward, maybe this takes the jump out of the equation?

Put your nock point on the bottom of your arrow instead of over it.
This creates down force on the arrow and keeps it on the rest during draw and while holding, and does not effect the shot at all.

Anybody with the fear the arrow may drop off the forks on the arrow rest
could alway cut there own type of forks from some sheet metal.
With a jigsaw and drill cut a. I . with more of a Y top to it and drill the two bottom holes. and your fears should be at rest.
I plan on doing this as soon as I get my arrow rest I really like the way this rest operates .
improvise, adapt, overcome Smile

I checked one out in person the other day and loved it, except for the fact that it isn't a full containment rest. The QAD has spoiled me to that I guess...

yeah...it connects to the limbs doesn't it...ohh...that's right it doesn't... Brick wall

if that's the case I guess every drop away on the market is a copy of the first one right?

If you bend the Y up just a little it'll hold the arrow better...

A little bird told me this one... Big Smile Big Smile
