DIRECTIONS

This contest will include Whitetail, Blacktail and Mule deer
This will be BOW ONLY
To submit an entry a participant must include...
- your screen name
- the number of tines that are longer than 1 inch (main beam counts), if applicable.
- a photo of himself/herself with the deer. photo must be of entire deer as to make sure no mounts are entered
- photo(s) that all scoreable tines can be seen in. If 1 inch tine is questionable supply a photo with a measurement against the tine for verification.
- a legible photo of legal properly filled out tag unless your state doesn't use them. In that case, documentation (or a link to) stating such.

E-mail all the required info to vince71969@aol.com and I'll verify everything is in order and update your team with the earned points. Don't forget to include your forum name and the team you're on as I may not be able to figure that out from your e-mail address.



CONTEST DEADLINE

The contest will run from September 1, 2009 until January 31st, 2010. At that time the contest will be closed for entries.

There will be a separate Archery Contest Room for this event.

This will be a team contest. Number of people on the team will be decided by the number of entries.



SIGNUP

Once again, there will be a 2 phase signup for this event.

A person needs to sign up for BOTH phases to be entered in the contest. This will prevent the one-time forum cruisers from signing up and never returning, thereby hindering a team.

Phase 1 will be from July 1st until July 8th.

Phase 2 will be from July 24th until July 31st.




At that time all the names will be randomly selected for the teams.




SCORING:

1 buck and 1 antlerless deer will be counted per person.
An antlerless deer will be a doe or a deer with antlers of LESS than one inch in length. It will be 5 pts.
A Buck will be 5pts plus the number of tines.(See above for "tine" description)
You can upgrade your buck (once) if you take a bigger one.

Prizes will be determined at a later date.

In the event that a tiebreaker is needed the team with the most deer entered will win.

Keep in mind that this contest is for fun and should never be taken too seriously. As we go deeper into this we surely will find discrepancies as well as unforeseen circumstances that may appear to hinder any one person or his/her team. While I will do my best to reasonably accommodate any concerns that may arise I can't guarantee everyone's complete satisfaction. Please remember that each case will be judged individually and given the same consideration regardless of who is requesting or when they do so.

Remember..........................responding to this thread is not signing up for the contest. There will separate threads for the phase 1 and phase 2 periods. If you won't have computer access during these weeks, please ask another forum member to enter your name for you.

The boy goes off to college in the fall, so for the first time in 18 years I'll have the luxury of hunting whenever I please. Honestly, I'd rather turn back the clock and do it all over again, but I can't convince Father Time of that, so this contest will be perfect for me this year. Thanks Vince !

You just have to sign up for both phases. It weeds out the people that just happen to drop in and join the contest and then are no shows for their teams come the contest.

i wanted to enter last year but you can't shoot a doe in AZ, so i feel like i'd automatically hurt the team. Plus that, we just don't have that many deer out here, so just shooting a buck can be a trick.
